아래에 블로그 내용을 보면 MS가 SkyMarket이외에도 Windows Mobile용으로 몇 가지 Sky 계열(?)의 서비스를 준비중인 것으로 보인다.

아래 내용을 보면 SkyLine은 RIM의 Push e-mail서비스의 B2C형태인 Blackberry Internet Service에 경쟁재로 준비되고 있는 것으로 보인다.

it seems Skyline is a business focused service which will integrate Microsoft-hosted Exchange-like services to consumers and small businesses. This will be Microsoft’s attempt to directly gain subscription revenue from mobile consumers, much like RIM thrives on subscription revenue from their 15 million captive users. It will also integrate other MobileMe-like value added services and leverage existing Microsoft properties like Hotmail and surrounding services.

  당연히 SkyLine은 MS Exchange 기반으로 개발될 것이고, 대상 고객은 일반인들이나 중소기업을 위한 서비스일 것이다.



  사실 한국에서는 이미 호스트웨이가 SKT와 함께 이런 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 그것이  바로 SyncMai인데 SKT는 마케팅만 도와주는 것으로 보이며, 실제로는 Exchange 호스팅 서비스를 하던  호스트웨이가 Push e-mail까지 제공하고 있다.

  이제 MS가 직접 유사한 서비스를 출시하면 두 회사는 파트너 관계에서 경쟁자 관계가 되지 않을까 생각된다. 결과적으로 한국에서 3rd Party가 하던 서비스를 MS가 직접 준비중인 것이다.
